Creating Sources & Uses

You can create Sources & Uses manually or upload a .CSV file while creating a new deal. To create a deal, see Creating a deal.

Note: Ensure that:

  • Full access permissions is provided to Deal Management:

    • Portfolio Page 

    • Deal Creation

    • Deal Details

    • Deal Overview

    • Sources & Uses

Creating Sources & Uses manually

To manually create Sources & Uses on a deal, perform the following steps.

  1. At the top-left of the page, click Portfolio.

 

  1. On the Portfolio page, click the Deal ID or View for the required deal.

  1. On the left navigation menu, click Sources & Uses.

  2. On the Sources & Uses page, click + Create manually.

 

  1. On the Create Sources & Uses page, enter the following information and click Save.

Note:

  • To add multiple item rows, click + New Use(s).

  • To create a group and add a relevant item type to that group, see Creating a group.

Parameter

Description

Type

Type of cost, such as Hard, Soft, and Contingency.

Description

A description of the selected cost type.

Original Schedule

Amount payable for the item.

          

The Sources & Uses page displays the details of the newly created sources and uses.

Note: You can add negative line items to Sources & Uses and place the draw request against the negative amounts. 


Creating a group

  1. On the Sources & Uses page, check the boxes to the left of the desired line items

  2. Click Actions > Add to group

  3. Label the group

  4. Click Save
