Quick Edit for Funding Sources in Capital Stacks

Prev Next

Purpose

Recent updates allow users to edit funding sources directly in a capital stack after the capital stack has been finalized, saving significant time and effort. Users can now update non-budget-impacting fields (such as External Unique Identifiers, or EUIDs) without going through a full modification and approval workflow, while budget-impacting fields continue to require the standard Modification process.

Key Features

  1. Edit Non-Budget-Impacting Fields After Finalization: Update fields such as External Unique Identifiers (EUIDs) directly in a finalized capital stack.

  2. Skip the Modification Workflow for Minor Corrections: Avoid the lengthy modification and approval process for fields that don't impact financial balances or formal terms.

How It Works

Editing Non-Budget-Impacting Fields

  1. Click the Edit pencil icon next to the funding source.

  2. Update non-budget-impacting fields directly (such as EUIDs).

  3. Save the changes — no full modification or approval process is required for these fields.

Benefits

  • Faster correction of minor reference-data errors without disrupting deal teams.

  • Reduced administrative overhead — no approval workflow required for non-budget-impacting changes.

  • Existing financial controls remain intact — budget-impacting changes still require a Modification.
