Marketplace Invoices Overview

Purpose

Marketplace Invoices gives buyers and vendors a single place to view every invoice generated from orders submitted or fulfilled through Built Marketplace. Users can filter the list, save views, and export the data to reconcile invoices against Built's month-end invoice or payment.

Key Features

  1. Invoices tab: Buyers see a new Invoices tab next to Orders in Marketplace. Vendors see an Invoices tab in the vendor portal.

  2. Saved views: Users can filter the list or choose specific columns and save the result as a view to reuse.

  3. Column and filter controls: Users can show, hide, reorder, and pin columns, and filter the list to the invoices they need.

  4. Export: Users can export all invoice data or only the invoices that match their current filters.

Target Users

  • Buyers (lenders) who order services such as inspections through Built Marketplace and need to reconcile Built's monthly invoice.

  • Vendors who fulfill Marketplace orders and need to reconcile what Built pays them at month end.

How It Works

Buyers: View invoices in Marketplace

  1. Select Marketplace in the top navigation.

  2. Select the Invoices tab (next to Orders).

  3. Review the list of invoices tied to orders across your portfolio. Select View on a row to open an invoice.

  4. Use the Saved Views menu to switch between views, such as All Invoices and Unpaid Invoices.

  5. Select Filters to narrow the list, or Columns to choose which columns appear.

Benefits

  • One place to see every Marketplace invoice instead of tracking them order by order.

  • Faster month-end reconciliation: buyers can tie each invoice back to its deal and match it to Built's monthly invoice amount.

  • Vendors can reconcile what Built pays them at month end against the invoices they submitted.

  • Saved views and exports let users build the report they need once and reuse it.

Best Practices

  • At month end, export invoices and compare them against Built's monthly invoice (buyers) or payment (vendors).

  • Buyers: use the Deal column to map each invoice back to the correct deal before reconciling.

  • Save views for the reports you run regularly, such as unpaid invoices, so you don't have to rebuild filters each time.

  • Apply filters before exporting to produce a focused report.
