Manage account settings as a lender

Account settings control how lenders interact with Built. In this section of your Built account, you can manage information related to your personal details (such as name, email address, password, etc.), notifications, phone number, and address.

There are four sections of information that you can update in your account settings. You can update one piece of information or all fields at the same time.

Personal Information

Information in this section relates to who you are and how you access Built. Here, you can update your first and last name, title, email address, password, and default language.

Email address

  1. To update your email address. Select Account Settings, select “Change” next to the current email.  

  2. Add the new email address, if the email is available, the “Change email address” button will become available.

  3. A confirmation email will be sent to your updated email address. Select “Change email address”

  4. Verify the new email address by entering the current password for Built.

  5. After confirming the new email, proceed by selecting 'Continue to Built' to access your account.

Notifications

This section controls the types of notifications you receive regarding your Built account. You can select options you would like to receive and deselect those you do not. Options include updates to loans, draws, inspections, and reports, as well as notifications when another user shares files or comments with you. You can also select one of the two buttons at the bottom of the section to receive all notifications or no notifications.

Personal Phone

Personal phone information is displayed in the People tab of a loan agreement. Providing this information helps ensure that Built is a central location for you and your partners. For example, by listing your phone number, your partners (such as lenders, builders, borrowers, inspectors, etc.) can contact you if needed, and you can update that information in one place.

Address

Similar to personal phone information, address details are displayed under the People tab of a loan agreement and this information will be accessible for your partners. For example, by listing your address, your partners (such as lenders, builders, borrowers, inspectors, etc.) can properly address documents to you or your institution, and you can update that information in one place.
