Activate my account and log in to Built

Logging in to Built for the first time activates your lending institution’s account and gets you ready to start using Built. We will send you an email for your first login and walk you through the steps. From there, you can login from our website and opt in to available new experiences

Activating your account

Use the following steps to activate your account depending on your role.

Lender

You will coordinate your initial login experience with your implementation manager. After receiving an email about your account from your implementation manager, follow these steps to activate your account.

  1. Click the registration link in the email.  Note: This link is active for 30 days. You will need to contact your implementations manager and request another link if 30 days have passed. 

    Click the Confirm Your Account button in your activation email.

  2. Create a strong password for your account.

    Choose your language from the Change Language drop-down and enter a password in the Password field before clicking Continue to finish your account activation.

  3. Click Continue.

    You can add additional users to your institution’s account as needed after the initial setup.

Borrower or Builder

After your lender adds you to a loan, you’ll receive an email welcoming you to Built. You can use the following steps to activate your account.

  1. Click Confirm Your Account in the invite email.

    Click the Confirm Your Account button in the invitation email.

  2. Select your language from the Change Language drop-down.

  3. Enter a password for your new account. 

    Select your language from the drop-down list and enter your new password in the Password field before clicking the Continue button.

  4. Click Continue.

  5. On the Welcome screen, click Continue.

    Click the Continue button.

  6. Add and confirm your information to the required fields.

    Confirm your account details in the shown fields before selecting the I have read and agree to the following Terms & Conditions option and clicking the Continue button.

  7. Check the box indicating that you have read and agreed to the Terms & Conditions

  8. Click Continue.

  9. If your lender has any terms and conditions, check those boxes  indicating that you have read and agreed to them and click Continue.

  10. Choose one of the two home screen views.

    Note: You can change this setting later in your Account Settings.

    Click on one of the two home screen options: Single-Loan View or Portfolio View and click the Let's Get Started button.

  11. Click Let’s Get Started.

Inspector

After a lender adds you to a loan, you’ll receive an email welcoming you to Built. You can use the following steps to activate your account.

  1. Click Confirm Your Account in the invite email.

    Click the Confirm Your Account button in the invitation email.

  2. Select your language from the Change Language drop-down.

  3. Enter a password for your new account. 

    Select your language from the drop-down list and enter your new password in the Password field before clicking the Continue button.

  4. Click Continue.

  5. On the Welcome screen, click Continue.

    Click the Continue button.

  6. Add and confirm your information to the required fields.

    Confirm your account details in the shown fields before selecting the I have read and agree to the following Terms & Conditions option and clicking the Continue button.

  7. Check the box indicating that you have read and agreed to the Terms & Conditions

  8. Click Continue.

  9. If your lender has any terms and conditions, check those boxes indicating that you have read and agreed to them and click Continue.

Logging in

After your initial account activation, follow these steps to log in.
 

  1. Navigate to https://id.getbuilt.com.

    Enter your Email Address and Password in the appropriate text fields and click Log In to log into your account.

  2. Enter your email address and password.

  3. Click Log In.
    You can reset your password if you forget it or get locked out of your account.

How do I activate my account as a lender?

To activate your account as a lender, coordinate with your implementation manager, click the registration link in the email you receive, create a strong password, and click Continue.

What should I do if the registration link has expired?

If the registration link has expired (after 30 days), you will need to contact your implementation manager to request a new link.

What steps do borrowers or builders need to follow to activate their accounts?

Borrowers or builders should click 'Confirm Your Account' in the invite email, select their language, enter a password, and follow the prompts to complete the activation.

Can I change my home screen view after activation?

Yes, you can change your home screen view later in your Account Settings.
