Enhanced Data Visibility and Insights for Deal Management will provide lenders with advanced tools to better visualize, filter, and act on critical deal data. These updates will improve decision-making by surfacing contextual and geographic insights on the most trafficked pages of the platform—the Portfolio page and the Deal Overview page.


Enhancing Portfolio Visibility

Description

The Portfolio page now supports significantly improved data customization and visualization features. Users can choose from a broader set of data columns, apply refined filters, group deals dynamically, and explore new map-based geographic insights.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Add New Data Columns

  • Navigate to the Portfolio page.

  • Click the column settings icon.

  • Use the new search bar to find and select from 30+ additional columns (e.g., funding source details, credit metrics).

Step 2: Apply Advanced Filters

  • Click the filter panel.

  • Apply filters such as Fund, Deal Risk Rating, Primary Source Debt Type, and Primary Source Lending Program.

  • Step 3: Group and Subgroup Deals

  • Use the “Group By” dropdown to organize deals by attributes like Deal Status, Originator, or Property Type.

  • Subgroup further if needed.

  • Totals, averages, and weighted averages will automatically display for each group.

Step 4: Use the New Map Visualization Tool

  • Open the map view on the Portfolio page.

  • Click properties on the map for more details.

  • Use color coding to understand property types geographically.

  • Add boundary layers (cities, counties, MSAs) for spatial context.

Note:

  • These enhancements are especially useful for origination pipeline management.

  • The search bar for column selection saves time and simplifies customization.


Improving Deal Overview Insights

Description

The Deal Overview page has been updated to surface richer content and give users more control over how information is displayed. Key updates include photo galleries, configurable metric displays, and new widgets for primary loan details.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: View and Manage Property Photos

  • Navigate to the Deal Overview page.

  • View the photo gallery at the top.

  • Select a cover photo.

  • Apply reporting labels for downstream visibility.

Step 2: Configure Key Metrics Widget

  • Locate the metrics widget on the page.

  • Select which operational and credit metrics to display.

  • Reorder metrics as needed.

  • Save your layout preferences.

Step 3: Share Saved Views

  • After customizing your display, save the view.

  • Use the “Share” option to make the view accessible across your organization.

Step 4: Explore Primary Source Details Widget

  • Scroll to the new Primary Source Details widget.

  • Review loan terms and pricing for the main tracked debt source.

Note:

  • Field-level controls allow more granular customization across widgets.

  • Shared views promote consistency and transparency across teams.

These enhancements are available to all CLA Plus and Deal Management users with the 2025 Summer Release.
