Getting Started with the CLA+ Borrower Portal

Overview

The Borrower Portal in Built provides real-time visibility into your construction finance deals and offers powerful tools to manage budgets, draw requests, payables, and collaboration—all in one place. This guide walks you through how to navigate the portal, access key features, and manage your deals efficiently.


Step 1: Log into the Borrower Portal

When you first accept your invitation from your lender, you may be taken directly into a specific deal. However, on future logins:

  1. Navigate to the Built login page at id.getbuilt.com and enter your credentials.

  2. After logging in, you’ll land on the Portfolio page.


Step 2: Understand the Key Navigation Areas

There are three primary areas of the Borrower Portal interface:

Pages

  • Located in the upper-left corner next to the Built logo, main pages include:

    • Portfolio: View all your construction deals in a list format with configurable columns like Deal ID, Deal Name, Lender, and Property Address.

    • Contacts: Store and manage information for General Contractors, vendors, and individuals. This includes profile associations across multiple organizations.

Settings

  • Access settings by clicking the gear icon in the upper-right corner.

  • Under Organization Settings, you can:

    • View and manage your account details.

    • Add new users, edit existing users and manage user invitations.

  • Under your Built username, you can select between the following the dropdown options:

    • Account Management - View and manage your account details

    • Logout - Sign out of your Built account

    • Live Support - Contact support via chat (during business hours 7am-7pm CT Monday-Friday)

    • Help Center - Browse articles from help.getbuilt.com directly

Deals

  • Click on a Deal ID or View from the Portfolio page to open a deal.

  • Once inside a deal, use the left-hand page menu to navigate through deal-specific features.

Step 3: Explore the Deal-Level Features

Inside a deal, you can access the following sections:

Overview

  • View a summary of the bank budget, known as the Sources & Uses

  • Use shortcut links to tools like:

    • Prime contract setup

    • Accounts Payables Inbox

Sources & Uses

  • Get a detailed breakdown of all items in the lender-approved budget.

  • Understand how each payable affects the project budget automatically.

Draw Management

  • Review past draw requests or start a new daw request.

  • Click the edit icon at the end of a draw row to manage or review draw details.

Prime Contract

  • Manage the Schedule of Values

  • Edit contract details

Payables

  • View all payables and manage payables. Payables could be created by:

    1. Uploaded via the AP inbox

    2. Submission by the General Contractor

    3. Entering during a draw request

    4. Creation manually from the Payables page

Built is designed to make construction finance simple. From initiating draws to managing contacts and contracts, everything is streamlined to enable faster funding, real-time collaboration, and seamless compliance with lender requirements.
