# Inviting a Borrower to a Deal in CLA+

You can invite Borrowers to collaborate with you in Built on your Deal.

**Note:** Ensure that you have full access permission to the following permissions:

- Deal Stakeholders - Deal Stakeholder Management

**Step-by-Step Instructions:**

**Step 1:** At the top-left of the page, click **Portfolio**.

**Step 2:** On the Portfolio page, click **View or Deal ID** for the deal that you want to update.

**Step 3:** On the left navigation menu, click **Stakeholders**.

**Step 4:** On the **Stakeholders** page, locate your Borrower Stakeholder in the External Stakeholders grid and click the **Invite** button.

**Step 5:** On the **Invite Borrower** modal, select the **Deal Contact** that you want to send the initial invitation email to.

**Step 6:** If you do not see the Deal Contact that you want, you can **Create a new Individual Contact** to use as the Deal Contact.

> Note:
> 
> If you have previously invited this Borrower on other Deals, the Deal invitation will automatically send without needing to select a **Deal Contact**.

**Step 7:** Click the **Invite** button and a green success message will be displayed indicating that the Deal Invitation has been sent successfully.

**Step 8:** If this Borrower does not already exist in Built, the **Deal Contact** specified for the Borrower will receive an invitation email to join Built and to accept the Deal invitation.

**Step 9:** If this Borrower already exists in Built, all Users in the Borrower account will receive an invitation to accept the Deal invitation.
