# How to Find and View a Vendor's Marketplace Profile

### **Overview**

This guide walks Buyers — Loan Admins, Project Managers, Asset Managers, and Risk Managers — through finding vendors in Built's Marketplace, reviewing their profile details, and saving vendors for quick future access. The Marketplace's Search & Discovery feature lets users filter vendors by deal, coverage area, and service type before placing orders.

---

### **Navigate to Marketplace**

#### Description

The Marketplace is accessible from the top navigation bar and includes three tabs: **Discover**, **My Vendors**, and **Orders**.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Log in to Built as a Buyer (Loan Admin, Project Manager, Asset Manager, or Risk Manager).
2. In the top navigation bar, select **Marketplace**.
3. You will land on the **Discover** tab by default.

> [!NOTE]
> Note:
>
> - The Marketplace navigation item is new in the Spring 2026 release. Inside Marketplace, you'll find three tabs: **Discover** (search and find vendors by deal, coverage area, and service type), **My Vendors** (vendors you've saved or worked with), and **Orders** (your existing orders rolled up at the portfolio level).
> - Vendor Marketplace Profiles are the vendor-owned profiles that show up when you discover or browse vendors. They contain a vendor's company details, services, coverage areas, and sample reports.

### **Search for a Vendor**

#### Description

The **Discover** page lets you filter vendors by deal context, coverage area, and service type. Use any combination of filters — or browse without filters to see all vendors.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. **Filter by Deal (optional):** Under "What deal do you need the service for?", select a deal from the dropdown. Recently used deals appear at the top. Selecting a deal automatically populates the Coverage Area based on the deal's location. You can select one deal or leave this blank.
2. **Filter by Coverage Area (optional):** Under "Where do you need coverage?", search for a location. You can select one or many — supported types include State, City, ZIP code, Nationwide USA, and Continental USA. Selected locations appear as badges that can be removed individually with the **X**.
3. **Filter by Service (optional):** Under "What services are you looking for?", select one or more service types (e.g., Draw Inspection, Appraisal, Phase I ESA, Title Search). Selected services appear as badges.
4. To reset all filters, select **Clear selections**.

---

### **Browse Vendor Results**

#### Description

After applying filters, vendor results display as cards. Scroll down to load more results. Each card shows the following:

| **Field** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| **Business Name** | The vendor's company name |
| **Network Badge** | Shown if the vendor is a Built Network vendor with pre-negotiated rates |
| **Services Offered** | The order types this vendor provides |
| **View Profile button** | Opens the vendor's full Marketplace Profile |

### **View a Vendor's Marketplace Profile**

#### Description

A vendor's Marketplace Profile contains their company details, services, coverage areas, and sample reports.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. On a vendor card, select **View Profile**.
2. Review the **Business Details** section: company name, description, website, primary contact, dispatch email, and phone number.
3. Under **Services & Coverage**, review the vendor's service types and coverage areas. Services are listed in a collapsible accordion by service type. Each service shows its coverage areas as badges — clicking a badge highlights that area on the map at the bottom of the page.
4. If a sample report PDF is available, click it to open it in Built's file viewer.
5. To save the vendor for future access, select **Add to My Vendors**.
6. To return to the Discover page with your previous filters intact, select **Back to Search Results**.

> [!NOTE]
> Note:
>
> - Always check coverage for the specific service type you need — a vendor may cover different geographies per service.
> - Look for the Network Badge on vendor cards. Built Network vendors are backed by Built's guarantee, and some offer pre-negotiated rates that don't require a bidding process.

---

### **Access My Vendors**

#### Description

The **My Vendors** tab provides a quick-access list of vendors you've saved or previously worked with.

Step-by-Step Instructions (if applicable):

1. In the Marketplace top navigation, select the **My Vendors** tab.
2. View all vendors you've added or worked with.
3. Select any vendor to return to their profile.

### FAQ

#### What does the Network Badge mean?

The vendor is a Built Network vendor backed by Built's guarantee. Some Network vendors offer pre-negotiated rates that can be locked in without going through a bidding process.

#### What if no vendors appear in my search results?

Try broadening your filters — remove the service type or expand the coverage area. If you believe a vendor should be listed and isn't, contact the Marketplace team at inspections@getbuilt.com.

#### Can I view a vendor's profile without using Search & Discovery?

Yes. If you have a direct link to the vendor's profile, or if you've already added them to **My Vendors**, you can access their profile directly.
