Viewing a Budget

You can view budget details such as the budget summary, budget items, and sources. Also, you can format columns, filter budget, edit budget items, export the current budget view, manually update the item progress, download the inspection sheet, and draw management reports.

To view a budget detail, perform the following steps.

  1. On the Built home page, click .

  2. In the main navigation, click Portfolio.

  3. On the Portfolio page, in the Search field, enter the project name or loan number for which you want to view the budget.

  4. To view loan details, hover over the corresponding project and click . By default, the Full Budget tab is displayed.

    Alternatively, click the corresponding loan number.

    Note:

    • To expand the budget details section, click Fullscreen.

    • To hide the Budget Summary section, click Hide Summary.

    • To view the Budget Summary section, click View Summary.

  1. To open the inspection sheet, click Inspection Sheet.

On the budget overview page, you can perform the following actions.

Viewing funding source details

To view funding source and account details, perform the following steps.

  1. On the Full Budget tab, in the Sources section, click the required funding source.

    The funding details are displayed.

    Note:

    • To close the funding source details, click .

    • To hide funding sources section, click .

Viewing budget item details

To view budget item details, perform the following steps.

  1. On the Full Budget tab, in the Budget Items section, click the required budget item.

    The overview details are displayed.

  2. To view the inspection details, click Inspection.

Formatting the budget items and sources column

You can select the columns to display the details of budget items and sources, according to the selection.

To format columns, perform the following steps.

  1. On the Budget page, click Columns.

  2. In the Column Formatting section, select or clear the checkboxes as required.

The formatted columns are displayed in the corresponding sections.

Filtering a budget item

To filter a budget item, perform the following steps.

  1. On the Budget page, click Filters.

  2. In the Filter Budget By section, click Type.

  3. Select the required budget types.

     

The selected budget types are displayed in the budget items section.

Note:

  • To close the Filter Budget By dialog box, click .

  • To clear the filters, click Clear All Filters.

Editing a budget item type

You can edit the budget item type in the projects that are already activated. You cannot change the hard cost or American Institute of Architects (AIA) item type if they have inspections or retainage. Also, you cannot change the fees type if they have a history of associated fee transactions.

  1. On the Budget page, click Options.

  2. Click Edit Budget Item Type.

  3. In the Budget Items section, click the budget item for which you want to change the item type.

  4. In the dropdown, select the required budget item type.

  5. Click Save.

  6. On the Confirm Budget Item Type Change dialog box, in the Reason for change field, enter the reason for the item type change.

  7. Verify the details and click Confirm.

Note:

  • The Reason for change field is mandatory to confirm the changes.

  • To revert the item type change, click Revert All Changes.

The budget item type changes are updated successfully.

Exporting current budget view

You can export a full project budget or the current customized budget view to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet (XLSX).

To export the current budget view, perform the following steps.

  1. On the Budget page, click Options.

  2. Click Export Current Budget View.

The spreadsheet (XLSX) is to your computer.

Manually updating the item progress

You can manually update the progress of a budget item. You can also update the percentage of the budget item construction and the calculated released amount.

To manually update item progress, perform the following steps.

  1. On the Budget page, click Options.

  2. Click Manually Update Item Progress.

  3. In the Construction % field enter the percentage value for corresponding budget item.

    Alternatively, you can enter the calculated released amount for the corresponding budget item.

  4. Click Review.

  5. On the Review and Submit dialog box, in the Comment section, enter the reason for manually updating item values.

  6. Click Submit.

The budget items are updated.

Downloading an inspection sheet

To download an inspection sheet, perform the following steps.

  1. On the Budget page, click Options.

  2. Click Download Inspection Sheet.

The inspection spreadsheet (XLSX file) is downloaded to your computer.

Downloading a draw management report

To download a draw management report, perform the following steps.

  1. On the Budget page, click Options.

  2. Click Download Draw Management Report.

The draw management report (XLSX file) is downloaded to your computer.
