### FAQ

#### What is an authorized business user?

We're able to accept identification from any authorized business user. This does not need to be a specific title or role — just someone who has the authority to represent your business and use Built's payment services.

#### Why do you need my personal information to set up a business account?

To comply with federal regulations including the [USA PATRIOT Act](https://www.fincen.gov/resources/statutes-regulations/usa-patriot-act) and the [Bank Secrecy Act](https://www.fdic.gov/banker-resource-center/bank-secrecy-act-anti-money-laundering-bsaaml), Built is required to verify the identity of an authorized representative of your business through Know Your Customer (KYC) checks. These regulations are in place to ensure the security of financial transactions and prevent fraud.

#### What happens if I don't verify my business details?

If you do not complete business verification, you will not be able to receive payments through Built.
