# Managing documents on a draw

## Overview

This article explains how to manage documents within a draw in the Sponsored Borrower Portal. Users can add, split, remove, and download documents to meet lender requirements and ensure complete draw submissions. Step-by-step instructions guide users through each document management action for an efficient and compliant workflow.

## Adding a document

### Description

Learn how to upload and categorize documents within a draw using the Documents tab.

### Steps

1. Create a **Draw**.
2. On the **Draw** page, click the **Documents** tab.
3. Click **+ Add files**.
  1. To locate a document, click **Choose a File**.
    1. Alternatively, you can drag and drop a document to the highlighted area.
  2. Navigate to the required folder.
  3. Select the document, and click **Open**.
  4. In the **Add Files** dialog box, the document is displayed after it is successfully uploaded.
4. Click **Upload & Add Requirements**.
  1. The document is displayed in the draw documents list.
5. In the **Document type** column, select a document type.
6. Click **Save & Continue**.
  1. A message is displayed indicating that the document is added successfully.

## Splitting a document

### Description

Split a multi-page document into separate files based on page ranges and associated lender requirements.

### Steps

1. In the row of the document you want to split, select the three-dots icon.
2. In the sidesheet, toggle **Separate Requirements by Page.**
  1. For documents that satisfy multiple requirements across different pages, you can split the file into the pages that satisfy their respective requirements. For example, specifying pages "1-3, 5" would create a 4 page file with pages 1, 2, 3, & 5 from the original file.
3. Enter the following information:
  1. **Pages**
    1. Add the number of pages you want to separate.
  2. **Requirements**
    1. Add the Lender requirement these pages fulfill.
4. Click **Save**.
5. To confirm, click **Confirm.**

## Removing a document

### Description

Remove individual or multiple documents from a draw using the action menu or checkboxes.

### Steps

1. If you want to remove a single document, follow these steps:
  1. In the row of the document you want to delete, select the three-dots icon.
  2. Click **Remove**.
  3. Confirm you want to remove the document by clicking the **Yes, Remove File** button.
2. To remove multiple documents, follow these steps:
  1. Select all, by clicking the checkbox in the header row or select the documents you want to remove.
  2. Click the **Actions** dropdown and select **Delete**.
  3. Confirm you want to remove the document(s) by clicking the **Yes, Remove File** button.

## Downloading a document

### Description

Download one or multiple documents from a draw for review or record-keeping purposes.

### Steps

1. If you want to download a single document, follow these steps:
  1. In the row of the document you want to download, select the three-dots icon.
  2. Click **Download**.
2. To download multiple documents, follow these steps:
  1. Select all, by clicking the checkbox in the header row or select the documents you want to remove.
  2. Click the **Actions** dropdown and select **Download**.
