Adding payables to a draw

Overview

This section explains how to populate a draw with payables using two methods: linking existing approved payables from Built or generating new ones by uploading external files. Users can select approved vendor payables or upload invoices, then input key details such as vendor, project, invoice information, and line items before adding them to the draw. This process ensures accurate and complete tracking of project expenses.

Steps

  1. Create a Draw.

  2. On the Draw page, click the Draw Payables tab.                                            

  3. There are two options:

    1. Click Link Existing Payables to populate your draw from vendor payables that have already been approved in Built.

      1. To Link Existing Payable, click the checkbox to select the payables you want included in the draw, and click Save.

    2. Click Generate New From Files to upload files collected outside of Built.

      1. To Generate New From Files, drag and drop to upload files or browse your files by navigating to the required folder.

      2. Once upload, review for accuracy and enter the following information:

        1. Vendor (required)

        2. Project (required)

        3. Add to:

          1. Existing Payable

            1. Select Payable

          2. New Payable

            1. Invoice Number (required)

            2. Invoice Date (required)

            3. Invoice Line Items

              1. Linked Sources & Uses Line Item

              2. Description

              3. Amount

      3. Click Create New Payable.
